Savyon Sordean
Moishe House Berkeley Resident
Pronouns: she/her
Savyon (she/her) has been a resident at Moishe House Berkeley since 2018. She is currently getting her Masters in Social Work and interning at Kaiser doing bereavement and grief counseling. When she’s not reading Moishe House Berkeley’s book club book or working together with her roommates to build community, you might find Savyon hiking, cooking, or eating chocolate. Although Savyon misses welcoming people into her home for shabbat dinner, and other programs, she is grateful that the virtual sphere has provided her and her roommates with sustained connection to community members. Savyon knows that when gatherings are back to “normal,” she and her roommates will have such a depth of creativity and an eagerness to fill their house with laughter and hugs. She is excited to be part of the Resident Advisory Board, learn from other residents, and to work together to make Moishe House the best it can be.
