Named to Wexner Field Fellowship Class 6 Cohort

The Wexner Foundation recently announced its Wexner Field Fellowship Class 6 cohort and two Moishe House alumni are on the list. Former Moishe House staff member and Moishe House Sherman Oaks alumnus Terry Wunder and Moishe House Boston – Cambridge alumnus Jonathan “Jon” Hornstein will participate in the three-year professional development program. The Wexner Field Fellowship provides opportunities for Jewish professional leaders to receive coaching, Jewish learning, and professional development funds.

Terry Wunder is the Director of Community Engagement at Temple Solel in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California and also serves on the Board of Directors of JPro, which connects, educates, and inspires professionals working in the Jewish community sector. Terry believes that community is best created when people are empowered, trusted, and heard. He has worked in Jewish non-profit organizations for 16 years and began his Jewish journey in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he attended Religious School at a bagel shop. Terry lives in San Diego, California with his partner, Kristen, and their son, Ozzy.

Jon Hornstein is a Program Director at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, leading the Foundation’s grantmaking within the U.S. Jewish community. A national thought leader on anti-poverty work in the Jewish community, Jon led the establishment of the National Affinity Group on Jewish Poverty and authored “Jewish Poverty in the United States: A Summary of Recent Research” in 2019. He has been selected as a Baltimore Corps Fellow and an Education Pioneers Fellow, and spends his volunteer time building Jewish community and mentoring young people. He graduated with a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
