Craig Shapiro

Moishe House Columbus Resident

Pronouns: he/him

Craig (he/him) is a native Philadelphian and current resident of Moishe House Columbus. In true Ohio fashion, he has added Buckeye fandom to his Philadelphia sports obsession and is always eager to engage in conversation on the matter—especially when the 76ers are concerned. His other interests include R&B music, late night television, and travelling. Craig’s fascination with far out places and cultures has brought him to the peak of an actively erupting volcano in Vanuatu, the jungles of Borneo to search for wild orangutans, the many backpacker hostels of Europe and Southeast Asia, and dozens of islands across Polynesia.  Following his Peace Corps service in Samoa, Craig decided to pursue a PhD in anthropological archaeology to conduct research that promotes climate resilience in remote communities. He now teaches introduction to archaeology at The Ohio State University.
