Jonas Markowitz

Moishe House Brussels Resident

Pronouns: he/him

Jonas (he/him) is a proud Moishe House Brussels resident! He joined local Moishe House events as a regular participant in 2018 and became a resident the following year. Inclusion is on top of his agenda, and his community showcase an exciting cultural, linguistic and religious diversity. Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, he using every opportunity he gets to bring cheese and yummy meals to the table. Although he has jurisdiction over the kitchen, Jonas sadly has no right to control the music during the programs as he appears to be stuck in the 70’s & 80’s, causing discontent among his roommates. During the day, Jonas works for the EU office of a Jewish advocacy group, and during the rest of his time, experiments in the kitchen, works on his Dutch and Russian, and convinces his roommates that yes, he definitely needed to buy this new plant for the living room.
