Lilinaz Evans
Rabbinic Intern
New York
Lilinaz is our Rabbinic Intern. She first connected with Mem Global as a Moishe House Clapham (London) resident and is excited to now serve the community in a new way.
Born and raised in London, she began her professional life as an engineer before following her passion for Jewish learning to New York, where she is now a rabbinical student at Yeshivat Maharat. Along the way, she has studied at Paideia (Sweden), Nishmat (Israel), and Drisha (online), and taught Torah in communities around the world including at Sadeh Farm in London, where she was Head of Jewish Education and Fellowships. In New York, Lilinaz is faculty at the 92NY and has served as Rabbinic Intern at Kehillat Harlem.
Outside the classroom, Lilinaz is a trustee of Azara, a UK-based charity dedicated to creating open and pluralist spaces for Jewish text study.
When she’s not studying or teaching, you can usually find her cooking up delicious Persian food, doing arts and crafts, or traveling to explore Jewish communities across the globe.
