Manashe Khaimov

Eastern Community Manager

Pronouns: he/his

Miami, FL

As the Eastern Community Manager, Manashe will have the opportunity to work intimately with 15 houses and pods as he supports them in reaching their full potential as Moishe House communities. Manashe has had Moishe House on his radar for quite some time: during his college career at Baruch College, where he served as a President of Hillel, he always aspired to be part of the Moishe House community as a resident or employee. As a community organizer, he always had a thirst for learning more about how diverse communities mobilize and function across Jewish communities nationwide. Manashe was born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, a city along the Silk Road, where his ancestors had lived for over 2,000 years, which makes his Jewish identity simultaneously Bukharian, Sephardic, Mizrahi, and Russian-speaking. In 2015, the Jewish Week named Manashe to “36 under 36 changemakers in Jewish Life”. He is an alumnus of the UJA-Federation of NY Ruskay Institute for Jewish Professional Leadership and an alumnus of the Nahum Goldmann Fellowship for International Jewish Visionary Leaders. He holds a BA in International Marketing from Baruch College and an MSW in Community Organizing, Planning, & Development from Hunter College.
