Embark Chicago

March 19 – May 14, 2026
Rabbi Max Antman
Rabbi Max G. Antman (he/him) is on the rabbinic team at Temple Sholom of Chicago, where he works to bring Torah, justice, and spirituality to students of all ages. Rabbi Antman believes in the power of intentional community building and is passionate about creating spaces where people can explore and connect to Judaism in authentic, inclusive, and nourishing ways.
Rabbi Antman received his rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles, where he also completed a certificate in Jewish Organizational Leadership. He also holds a B.A in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Originally from Evanston, Rabbi Antman is thrilled to once again be part of the Chicagoland Jewish community that helped shape his Jewish journey. When he’s not at synagogue, you can find him soaking up the sun on one of Chicago’s many beaches, baking challah, or in the middle of a spirited board game with friends.
