Rabbi Rami Schwartzer
Rami Schwartzer is a rabbi and educator with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and communities through transition, healing, and connection. He was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary and holds a degree in philosophy from Columbia University. Rami founded and directed Ramah Day Camp of Greater Washington and the Den Collective, and has launched innovative and inclusive programs for Honeymoon Israel, the Jewish Federation, the Ramah Camping Movement, Hillel International, Mem Global, and local communities around the world designing experiences that challenge assumptions, deepen human connection, and step outside the ordinary to embrace the unknown.
He has provided end-of-life spiritual support in hospice care and served on the ground with NECHAMA’s Hurricane Helene recovery team. Rami’s approach integrates classical Jewish learning with contemporary modalities, including group process work and alternative therapeutic practices grounded in expanded states of consciousness. An artist at heart, he brings a creative lens to everything he builds—valuing beauty, risk, and depth in both form and process. Born in Kentucky, raised in New England, and now a nomad, Rami holds dual American-Israeli citizenship and moves through the world with a spirit of curiosity and adventure. He finds restoration and clarity in wild spaces, often off-grid climbing, backpacking, or creating.
