Embark Denver Virtual Cohort

March 25th – June 3rd, 2025

Rabbi Dave Yedid

Dave is thrilled to be the founding rabbi of Base Denver and the rabbi for the Embark Denver cohort. A lover of Torah and the natural world, Dave seeks to build Jewish life that is vibrant, open, joyful and deep. He found his voice as a leader and the inspiration to become a rabbi through leading immersive backcountry trips for youth. Prior to rabbinical school, Dave worked as a field guide for a therapeutic wilderness program in Bend, Oregon.

Dave attended Middlebury College, where he earned a BA in Geography with a minor in Dance. A Wexner Graduate Fellow, Dave was ordained by The Jewish Theological Seminary with an MA in Gender Studies in May 2022.

Dave served in various capacities at BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy, Camp Ramah in the Rockies, and NYU’s Bronfman Center. He was a chaplain resident at The New Jewish Home and, most recently, Cooperberg-Rittmaster Rabbinical Intern at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah.

Dave loves to cook, hike, paint watercolors, and dabble in poetry. Most of all, he is excited to build community in Denver alongside his husband, Daniel.
