Embark is all about exploring Jewish life in interfaith relationships – without the pressure to convert. Connect with other couples in their 20s and 30s and an Embark rabbi as you learn, share, and grow together in a supportive space. Whether you’re curious about tradition or building your own, discover a Jewish life that’s uniquely yours. Embark cohorts consist of 6-10 couples that meet weekly for 6 cohort sessions, a retreat, and a Shabbat dinner.

Rabbinical Student Annie Prusky
Hi! I’m Annie, and I am so glad you’re here. I’m a student rabbi, community builder, and a lover of Jewish tradition. My background is in Jewish education, and I specialize in the “unofficial” stuff: creating rituals that feel modern and meaningful for people who don’t necessarily hang out in traditional religious spaces. (Some of my favorite orgs I’ve worked with, besides Mem Global, are OneTable, Bruchim, Hillel, Abrahamic Interfaith House, and the Center for Small Town Jewish Life.)
My husband, Dayton, and I have sat exactly where you are. We are proud alumni of several interfaith couples’ groups, and those experiences shaped how we build our life together. We’ve had wonderful experiences as an interfaith couple and really challenging ones. We’ve tried out different styles of observance, navigated complex family dynamics, and are now raising our son to be proud of all that he comes from. In our Philadelphia home we try to live out a Jewish practice that is joyful, a little bit irreverent, and deeply rooted. We definitely don’t have all the answers, but we’ve learned a lot, and we love building community around the journey.

Grounded in her own experience navigating interfaith family life, she invites individuals and couples into a Jewish practice that is at once irreverent, joyful, and profoundly rooted.
