Moishe House Auckland

Seth, Sapeer and Daniel are old mates from childhood, and even lived together while they were at university in Wellington and running youth movements Bnei Akiva and Habonim Dror. They run the Auckland Moishe House along with Sapeer’s partner Thomas and Seth’s fiancée Ewa.

With a passion for community building and intentional Jewish living, the group curates a Moishe House calendar that enriches Jewish life for Aucklanders, and creates meaningful spaces to connect. That might mean engaging with Jewish art and culture (did you know Frida Kahlo loved Judaism?), chagim and rituals (with all our favourite tunes accompanied by our friends on guitar) or just playing football together (Seth is a formidable goalie).

Between busy careers in architecture, journalism, physio and employment law, the residents love to cook for each other and their friends, take trips into Auckland’s beautiful nature and eat falafel b’pita at our favourite restaurant, Carmel’s Israeli Street Food."
