Introducing Rabbi Adam Gindea, Mem Global’s new leader of Base and Rabbinic Innovation

By Margaret Selinger

We are pleased to announce that this August, Rabbi Adam Gindea will be joining Mem Global as the Vice President of Base and Rabbinic Innovation! An experiential Jewish educator, spiritual leader, and community builder, Rabbi Adam brings over a decade of experience in creating new models of Jewish community engagement. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue pioneering new strategies for building meaningful relationships between rabbis and Jewish young adults.

Rabbi Adam most recently served as the Vice President for OneTable, where he helped individuals to cultivate personally meaningful Shabbat practices. Here at Mem Global, he will take the lead of our Base program, which is dedicated to connecting young adults with inspiring rabbinic leadership. Through Base, rabbis lead programs out of their homes, offering welcoming, pluralistic spaces where young adults in their late twenties and early thirties explore Jewish life, learning, and spirituality. In fact, Rabbi Adam is already a member of our Base family: in 2017, he launched Base Miami and led the community until 2022.

“Founding and building Base Miami was one of the greatest experiences of my professional career, rabbinic journey, and personal spiritual development,” said Rabbi Adam. “It is truly an honor to come home to grow and expand the Base movement.”

As our new Vice President, Rabbi Adam will support the rabbis that lead our Base hubs, while working to expand Base’s reach and deepen its impact. He will also play a key role in making it possible for participants across Mem Global programs to create deep connections with rabbis and Jewish educators.

Our founder and CEO David Cygielman said,

“I am thrilled to welcome Rabbi Adam back to Base and Mem Global in this new role. Over the past few years, we have seen major growth in our rabbi-led programs, speaking to just how much Jewish young adults are looking for rich personal, connections with spiritual leaders. Rabbi Adam’s knowledge, experience, and deep understanding of Mem Global’s work will take Base and other programs to the next level to meet this need. In doing so, we will enrich the experience of Jewish young adults today and create ongoing engagement and commitment to Jewish life in the future.”

We hope you will join us in wishing Rabbi Adam a warm welcome as he steps into his new role!
