Jewish Candle Making Program
INTRODUCTION:
In this hands-on, creative program that participants are invited to explore the rich symbolism of flame in Jewish tradition while crafting their own meaningful ritual candles. The program begins with some brief learning that explores the role of candles in Jewish ritual—from the warmth of Shabbat candles to the braided flame of Havdalah, the memorial glow of a yahrzeit candle, and beyond. After engaging with this learning, participants will create their own uniquely designed candles for the Jewish moments that resonate most with them. Blending learning, artistry, and intention, this program offers a beautiful way to bring more light into Jewish practice.
