Take Action: High Holy Day Hunger Campaign
In partnership with MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger
We know you are already deep in planning for your community’s High Holy Day observances. We have the utmost respect for you as you create the space for your community to engage in the deep work of the chaggim — a chance to examine our actions, our values, and the path we hope to follow in the year ahead. We’ve partnered with the team at MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger to feature one opportunity to tie the themes of combatting hunger into your community’s High Holy Day programming.
47 million Americans are hungry. That’s already an unconscionable number, and there are changes on the horizon that will see it increase. And that’s where we all come in — there’s education to do, and advocacy to engage in. We would be so grateful for your partnership to make sure every person can feed themselves with dignity.
Invite your community to join Mem Global in MAZON’s postcard campaign. It makes an excellent pairing with existing food drive efforts. They’ve shared a collection of resources to make it an easy and meaningful addition. It can be as easy as printing out a sign and inviting people to write a digital postcard at another event, or you can order (free!) physical postcards here, and invite people to a postcard writing party. You can find all resources related to postcards here, including a special one-pager for Mem Global community members.
