In Parashat Bamidbar, we learn that everyone has a specific role to play in the service of the Tabernacle. Chapter Three explicitly outlines the duties of the Levites, the Kohanim, and the various tribes of Israel. Entire families devoted themselves to specified tasks—some in charge of the silver, others the textiles, the incense, the oil, etc.

This teaches us that no job is too small. We all have our gifts, and this is a lesson in going deep to develop true expertise. What can you be the best at? Even if it is only one piece of work, what piece can you contribute that only you can do—and how can you do that piece with excellence?
