Hailing from the great city of Dallas, Texas, Sammy Weyser is a well-connected and highly devoted contributor to his local Jewish community. Sammy’s lifelong involvement with various facets of the Dallas Jewish community contribute to his widespread reach within his hometown across various organizations and demographics. Sammy’s upbringing involved near-daily trips to the Jewish Community Center and Temple Emanu-El of Dallas, and he attended Yavneh Academy of Dallas, the city’s most esteemed Jewish high school, in addition to participating in BBYO. These experiences led to Sammy’s interest in forming Dallas’ current Moishe house along with two of his peers, which opened its doors in early 2024.

Sammy’s contributions to his local Jewish community do not end there, as he has turned his passion for Jewish programming into his profession as well, running Temple Emanu-El’s ATiD program for young adults in their 20’s and 30’s. Sammy has also recently become involved with Access, the young adult division of the American Jewish Committee as well as counseling for the Jewish National Fund’s teen retreat. Sammy is also very active with his local Chabad and Olami houses and has created numerous partnership opportunities between these organizations and Moishe house.Outside of his Jewish community work, Sammy graduated from the University of Texas in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience and minors in Business and Sociology. In his free time, Sammy can be found draining three-pointers, exploring new cities, and making music with his friends.
