Alyssa Craft

Alyssa Craft is our Executive Director, Embark and comes to Mem Global with a background in Jewish Nonprofit Management, experiential education, and community engagement. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the Maas Center for Jewish Journeys at American Jewish University, where she led strategic initiatives focused on Jewish learning, relationship-building, and meaningful communal experiences.

Prior to her role as Executive Director of the Maas Center, Alyssa served as Director of Programming and Development at American Jewish University, where she conceptualized, planned, and executed more than 200 online and in-person, bringing together thought leaders, educators, authors, and community members for conversations on Jewish identity, Israel, antisemitism, culture, and contemporary issues shaping Jewish life today. Before joining AJU Alyssa developed her skills as a Hillel professional, leading undergraduate and graduate student communities at Houston Hillel and Maryland Hillel.

Alyssa is an alumna Resident of Moishe House Washington DC – Columbia Heights, as well as Moishe House Without Walls and Retreatology. These experiences shaped her Jewish identity and deepened her passion for community-building, experiential learning, and creating spaces where people feel connected and empowered. Through these communities, she discovered the power of convening people around meaningful Jewish experiences and developed a strong commitment to fostering belonging and connection across diverse Jewish communities.

Alyssa holds a Masters Degree in Jewish Nonprofit Management from the Zelikow School of Nonprofit Management, a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies and Judaic Studies from the University of Arizona, and two certificates in Experiential Jewish education from The Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies and M2 The Institute for Experiential Jewish Education.
