Founded in 2006, Moishe House funds, trains, and educates young adults to create pluralistic, inclusive, and welcoming Jewish communities as House Residents, MHWOW Hosts, Peer-Led-Retreat Facilitators, and in our Bases. To date, there are more than 140 Moishe House communities in over 30 countries, and we’re still growing!

The Jewish Learning Collaborative (JLC) enables and inspires professionals and lay leaders at Jewish organizations to access Jewish text, thought, and wisdom through 1:1 learning sessions with one of our diverse Jewish educators. The JLC is growing quickly, and we are building a team to meet and expand the demand for individualized Jewish learning. The JLC is seeking a Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of the JLC’s 1:1 Jewish learning program to support partner organizations in bringing the JLC to their teams while supporting educators and learners as they learn together. The Program Manager will be a critical thought partner in shaping and executing our vision and will report to the Director, Jewish Learning Collaborative.

- You support learners, educators, and organizational partners, including:
- Owning and developing strong relationships with partner organizations, bringing the JLC to their organizations, and managing all aspects of their experience
- Matching learners with educators and supporting learners to ensure positive learning experiences
- Managing program implementation for learners, educators, and program partner organizations
- Supporting learners, educators, and partner organizations to have fun, meaningful 1:1 Jewish learning experiences, while implementing existing strategies and contributing new ones
- Refining processes and systems as the JLC grows
- You are a builder, and you’re flexible. You like experimenting and trying new things at work, and aren’t afraid to learn a new skill or to try something for the first time and then evaluate it.
- You care about people and their experiences. You enjoy connecting with others and can chat easily. And it’s not just small talk; you enjoy learning about people and what motivates them. You’ll develop individual relationships with learners, educators, and staff partners at partner organizations. You’ll work with partner organizations to recruit learners for the JLC and to help them start their learning journeys. You’ll support people when they encounter challenges.
- You’re organized and a problem solver. You identify problems when they arise and quickly work to create solutions and implement them. You thrive on identifying ways of improving existing systems and structures. You’ll refine and streamline existing program structures, identify opportunities for improvement, and manage the implementation of updates.
- Your written, analytical, project management, and organizational skills are just as strong as your verbal ones.
- You’ll facilitate special projects based on departmental needs, your expertise, and your interests.
- You have a four-year college degree or equivalent years of additional work experience.
- You have a graduate degree in Jewish Studies or Jewish Education, or at least two years of formal post-undergraduate Jewish learning. You are a Jewish Learning generalist.
- You have at least four years of post-undergraduate full-time professional experience. Experience in education or customer service preferred.
- You have significant experience in creating and nurturing in-person and online communities.
- You have familiarity with and/or experience working or volunteering in the Jewish community.

- You’re flexible with your work hours, working shortened daytime office hours with some nights and weekends as needed to work with our participants and educators.

The Fine Print:
The Jewish Learning Collaborative is a start-up currently incubated at Moishe House. This setup enables you to take advantage of Moishe House’s stability, structure, and benefits while working in a start-up environment. This position reports to the Director, Jewish Learning Collaborative, and is based in one of our U.S. Hub Offices. Beginning in early 2022, we’re excited to be returning to a hybrid work schedule at our Hub Offices, where employees can choose to work remotely 2 days per week and collaborate in-person with coworkers the rest of the week (Wednesday will be a day we are all in the office together!). As a Hub Office employee, you’ll receive prior notice in advance of starting this new schedule.

How Moishe House Pays You:
- Moishe House’s starting salary ranges are based on education, experience, location, and skillset required for each role.
- Starting annual salary range for this position:
- Charlotte, NC: $60k – $65k
- Chicago, DC, and Encinitas, NYC: $65k – $70k
- Annual merit-based salary increase
