Now begins a very interesting time of the Jewish calendar: the months of Adar and Nisan.
Adar is considered a month of happiness, a strong and active month. Its name “Adar” comes from the Hebrew word “adir” which means “strong”.This month is known for the celebration of Purim, which falls on the 14th of Adar.
The Talmud tells us that “when the month of Adar comes, we multiply joy” to welcome this interesting season. Adar is also the last month of the Jewish calendar.

This is a great time to focus on yourself, think about something positive, think optimistically, think about how we can help people around us, and share positive energy with others. This is a great time to strengthen your skills and talents, and create interesting and impressive events for your community. In addition to expressing gratitude and raising awareness and appreciation, also to focus on the positive, the good, your personal mission, and the things we can do and improve.

Adar is the perfect way to share the happiness and joy of the month and prepare for the first month of the year, Nisan.
Nisan is like a new beginning – it is a month, also called Ha Rishon, during the first part of which we clean our homes and prepare for Passover – the Feast of Freedom. All the energy of the month and the beginning of spring helps us to make real changes this month, to embark on a new path, to experience and live what we wanted to bring into our lives but were not yet ready for or did not do it or can’t find time for.
February-March (Adar-Nisan) is, of course, a great opportunity to create some new program and positively influence yourself and others, improving your life and the lives of the people around us.
Especially in the current circumstances in a world, where sometimes there is so little care, happiness, and love! We have all the energy of Adar and Nisan to carry out some actions that could positively impact not only ourselves and our lives, but also our communities and the people around us.
Now is the perfect time for Tikkun Olam programs.

Open your eyes to see only the good in every person, the positive in every circumstance, and the opportunity in every challenge.” — Rebbe
