Mem Global Announces Rabbi Adam Gindea as New Leader of Base and Rabbinic Innovation
Gindea will lead Base initiative that connects young adults to inspiring rabbinic leadership
July 30, 2025 – Mem Global, a leading organization in Jewish young adult community building, today announced Rabbi Adam Gindea as the new Vice President of Base and Rabbinic Innovation. An experiential Jewish educator, spiritual leader, and community builder, Gindea brings over a decade of experience in creating new models of Jewish community engagement. His expertise will support Mem Global’s work pioneering new strategies for building meaningful relationships between rabbis and Jewish young adults.
Gindea most recently served as the Vice President for OneTable, where he helped individuals to cultivate personally meaningful Shabbat practices. At Mem Global, he will lead the Base initiative, dedicated to connecting young adults with inspiring rabbinic leadership. Through Base, rabbis lead programs out of their homes, offering welcoming, pluralistic spaces where young adults in their late twenties and early thirties explore Jewish life, learning, and spirituality. Base had 17 hubs in 12 cities across the United States in 2024, connecting with a total of 26,043 participants. Its reach only continues to grow through new hubs in 2025. Gindea is no stranger to the Base model: in 2017, he launched Base Miami and led the community until 2022.
“Founding and building Base Miami was one of the greatest experiences of my professional career, rabbinic journey, and personal spiritual development,” said Rabbi Adam Gindea, Vice President of Base and Rabbinic Innovation at Mem Global. “It is truly an honor to come home to grow and expand the Base movement.”
As Vice President, Gindea will support the rabbis leading Base programs while working to expand Base’s reach and deepen its impact. He will also play a key role in developing infrastructure to make rabbinic leadership and relationships accessible to participants across Mem Global.
Mem Global founder and CEO David Cygielman said,
“I am thrilled to welcome Rabbi Adam back to Base and Mem Global in this new role. Over the past few years, we have seen major growth in our rabbi-led programs, speaking to just how much Jewish young adults are looking for rich personal, connections with spiritual leaders. Rabbi Adam’s knowledge, experience, and deep understanding of Mem Global’s work will take Base and other programs to the next level to meet this need. In doing so, we will enrich the experience of Jewish young adults today and create ongoing engagement and commitment to Jewish life in the future.”
