Talia is a Jewish chaplaincy student at Knox College in Toronto. Her two favourite things in life are leading prayer services (especially Kabbalat Shabbat!) and bringing people together, preferably over a meal. Her experiences of lay leadership and community organizing in both huge and tiny Jewish communities have galvanized her belief that Jews of all stripes need each other, to learn from, pray with, and be challenged by. Coming from a semi-secular background, she is on a mission to learn halakhah and incorporate it into her life in meaningful, thoughtful ways, and to share this process openly with others who might benefit from the same.

Talia particularly specializes in outreach to underserved groups within the Jewish community, particularly those seeking conversion and adults discovering or rediscovering their Jewish identities.
