Retreatology is your gateway to mastering the art of Jewish retreat-making. Whether you’re a creative thinker, a community builder, or a dreamer ready to take action, this is your chance to create gatherings around what interests you.

From vision-setting to logistics and immersive experience design, we’ll guide you every step of the way. As a “Retreatologist,” you’ll be eligible for up to $6,000 in grants to bring your dream retreat to life. Think Torah Yoga, Shavuot Prep in Nature, Jews in Sports—or something the world has never seen before. Whatever your vision, Retreatology is here to help you make it happen.

What's retreatology:

Retreatology is your go-to program for mastering the art of Jewish retreat-making. It’s a hands-on, immersive 3-day leadership experience designed to give you the skills to plan meaningful, impactful retreats for your community. 

What's included:
  • Training: Sharpen your organizational, facilitation, and leadership skills through interactive workshops. 
  • Funding Opportunities: Access grants of up to $6,000 to make your retreat a reality. 
  • Expert Guidance: Work with a mentor who’ll guide you through every step of the planning process, from brainstorming to execution and a Jewish educator to help you 
  • Jewish Educators: Partner with experienced Jewish educators to craft the content that brings your retreat vision to life. 
Who can join:

Retreatology is open to Jewish young adults in their 20s and 30s who are ready to step up and create something unforgettable.

2. dream it, apply for it

Once your vision is clear, submit your grant application, and we’ll help make it happen. Got a brilliant retreat idea? The world is your retreat oyster. Once your vision is clear, submit your grant application, and we’ll help make it happen. 

3. meet your mentor

Our mentors are here to help you with everything: budgets, locations, schedules, and finding a stellar Jewish educator. They’ve got your back. 

4. save the date and find your spot

Choose the perfect weekend and setting to bring your vision to life. Whether it’s a cozy cabin, a retreat center, or a vacation rental, your venue sets the tone. 

5. bring in the experts

Every great retreat needs great content. Hire a Jewish educator who can help bring your idea to life for your participants. Need suggestions? We’ve got plenty! 

6. spread the word

Let the world (or at least your community) know about your retreat! Whether it’s first-come, first-served or invite-only – it’s your call.   

7. plan like a pro

Plan your sessions, add breaks, and double-check your Shabbat candle lighting times. A little wiggle room never hurts (sessions always run long – trust us). 

8. the big weekend

Facilitate, learn, laugh, and soak in the joy of bringing your dream to life. Bonus points for great photos and meaningful memories.
