Calling all foodies! Join us for an unforgettable weekend, jam-packed with Judaism’s tastiest traditions. At this retreat, we’re keeping it fresh – fresh-baked bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, and fresh ideas about what food means in Jewish culture. Master the art of baking the perfect loaf of challah (or even share a few tips of your own!) and prepare a delicious Shabbat feast with ingredients straight from the garden. With hands-on learning and noshing to your heart’s content, it’s guaranteed to be full of fun, flavor, and stories you can taste!
This retreat is being held in partnership with Urban Adamah. The food served will be vegetarian and kosher style (non-heschered), and this retreat will NOT be Shabbat observant.

Get ready to make an impact and get all the tools you need to lead service programs that are grounded in Jewish learning, values, and wisdom.
This retreat is generously subsidized by Repair the World. In addition, this retreat will not be Shabbat observant, and the meals will be vegetarian but not kosher certified.

Don’t worry about burnout – we’ll be sparking new ideas, igniting conversations, and dropping hot tips on how to bring Lag BaOmer back to your own community all weekend long!
Post-Retreat: Looking to extend that retreat magic? Wish you could keep learning about Lag BaOmer – or just explore more than the airport in Chicago? Then this Post-Retreat: Tikkun Olam experience is for you! At this special add-on to the Lag BaOmer Retreat, we’ll dive into meaningful service projects, learn about Lag BaOmer through a Tikkun Olam lens, and explore Chicago with our retreat community. We’ll begin Sunday afternoon in Chicago and end at 1pm on Monday. Lodging, meals, and transportation for the post-retreat are included with your retreat registration. This opportunity is optional and is available at no additional cost!
The food served at this retreat will be kosher style. In addition, the activities taking place throughout this retreat will be Shabbat friendly. However, there will be no eruv on site.
